Treatment Approach

Nylen takes a calm, compassionate, and evidence-based approach to psychiatric care. She works closely with patients, families, and treatment teams to understand each person’s symptoms, history, stressors, strengths, and treatment goals. Her approach may include diagnostic evaluation, medication management, psychoeducation, trauma-informed support, risk assessment, safety planning, and coordination across different levels of care.

With training across inpatient psychiatry, medical-surgical care, and outpatient mental health settings, Nylen brings a strong understanding of how psychiatric symptoms can evolve across different levels of acuity. Her experience with crisis evaluations, Baker Act procedures, detox protocols, and inpatient stabilization helps her recognize clinical patterns early and develop clear, coordinated treatment plans focused on safety, stabilization, and long-term recovery.
